• A message will be sent at each arrival and departure along the trip, as soon as WiFi service can be found.
• Please discuss with your daughter when and how you want her to check in with you.
• Georgette will be our at home contact. If for some reason our plans change dramatically from this itinerary, we can’t access WiFi, or some sort of emergency happens, she will be the one I call to then get the information out to everyone who needs it.
• If you have some sort of emergency and you need to get in touch with us and an email or phone call to the place we are staying is not working or quick enough, please contact Georgette and she will work to get in touch with us ASAP.

• It is suggested we arrive 2.5 hours early for our flight.
• You can purchase drinks and snacks that CAN be taken on the place after we go through security.
• DO NOT bring any filled water bottles or sodas to the airport – you will have to throw them away when we go through security.
• Arrive with your money belt on your body and full of your important documents and money.
• Arrive with a luggage tag (name, address, phone number) already attached to your suitcase.
• We will not be charged for a checked bag.
• We can take the standard carry on items.

How do I get to the Centre from Kandersteg Bahnhof (train station)?
The Centre is 25 minutes walk from the station. Alternatively, in high season, the village bus runs hourly to the Centre and costs CHF 3.40 for adults and CHF 2.20 for children, or is free if you wear a Scout neckerchief.

What’s Kandersteg village like and how far it is from the Centre?
Kandersteg is a traditional Alpine village, surrounded by the towering peaks of the SwissAlps. It has 1,200 inhabitants, 25 hotels, 10 farms, an outdoor pool, Cheeseries, and a Buddhist monastery! The Centre is located approximately 1.5km from the village centre and train station. The banks and train station accept VISA and Master Card and also act at as ‘Bureaus de Change’.
